I know that it's not even Halloween, yet, but you'll forgive me for asking this question so early. I'm trying to get ahead of the game a little, since I know that the next few weeks are going to be ridiculously busy for me, between my in-laws coming to visit, the baby's birthday, starting a new job, etc...

If EVERYONE could PLEASE answer this poll, I would be incredibly, indescribably appreciative.

Prompt #3: Re-Prompt

Deadline is extended through October 4, 2008.

Prompt #3

This week's prompt is:
baked goods
Deadline is September 27, 2008.

Prompt Two: Kellen's Dream

Another excerpt from my novel and probably one of my favorite dream sequences. :D

Her brother gave but a flask of wine, for ire that love was lord of all...Collapse )

Prompt #2: The History, Part II

This is long. I mean, really LONG. And to think I was going to add more to it... I still might at some point, but for the purposes of this prompt, I think it's quite complete enough. Besides, even though it doesn't end quite on the note I wanted (and expected) it to, the loose ends are wrapped up quite nicely, IMHO. You don't have to read the whole thing, if you don't want to. But I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who does...

DISCLAIMER: It does contain some "adult" themes, but there's nothing explicit in it. It's all implied, so as not to be smutty.

Anyway, getting right along with it: The History, Part II, in which Philip and Evelyn encounter crises that test their strength as a couple.Collapse )

8,171 words (15 pages in MS Word). If you made it all the way through, you're my hero.

Prompt #2

This weeks' prompt is:
faith, freedom, anarchy
Deadline is September 20, 2008.

Prompt One: Meeting of the Minds

Here's an excerpt from my novel-in-progress about the meeting of two supporting characters, Julian and Maurice.

How on earth can these two people become friends?Collapse )
